Every year as educators we ask ourselves are we ready for the mundane B’s: budgets, busses, buildings, beans, books and basketball? Are we prepared to handle the many crisis situations that can arise throughout the year? We all know there are many ranging from a sick student to the most feared active school shooter. Every member of your community from the responding emergency services to every parent shares this fear.
Here at National Alliance For Safer Education (NAFSE) we pride ourselves in being there to help you establish a safer and more secure educational facility for your community. The experience we have gained conducting over one thousand school vulnerability assessments have allowed us to focus on the inherent problems faced in the educational environment today. It is this experience that has allowed us to develop a turnkey solution to these issues ranging from vulnerability assessments to the development of a detailed Emergency Response Plan that is National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) compliant. Our program includes the training of teachers/students local emergency responders and parents in what will be required of them during a crisis, involving your whole community.
Another important plus to our program is we can accomplish this without interfering with the limited educational time you have.
