About Us

 Why NAFSE was established

While working for Kentucky Office of Homeland Security, we were involved in conducting vulnerability assessments of critical infrastructure in small to medium size communities throughout Kentucky. One of the primary sites in every community was their schools, and it was during these school surveys that we realized where our schools stand in their demanding task of preparedness to deal with various crisis situations.
The major area of concern was due to the lack of professional development offered to our educators. Because of this deficiency in training, we have established the National Alliance For Safer Education NAFSE to offer the hands on what to do training. This NAFSE program is not offered only for your school, but for your community to handle some of the most feared crisis situation our schools have to deal with today.

 NAFSE Mission Statement:

To provide tailored solutions to our clients’ needs, offering single elements and complete integrated systems. Operating as a team constantly adapting and developing our expertise, we will always strive to be at the forefront of school security by constantly remaining innovative, diversified, and developing safer climate and culture for your students, certified - classified staff and community.
NAFSE Goal:
Our goal is to create value by understanding our client’s needs and consistently exceeding their expectations.
Safety in the Red Zone:
National Alliance for Safer Education (NAFSE) provides strategic planning for the requirements to secure, account for, move and reunite students with their parents with reliability, even when the vulnerability is high. We play a unique part in the educational security market – the active segment. We call this Safety in the Red Zone.
Our hallmark is discretion, trust, professionalism and competency. Our philosophy is strategic planning. None have our focus and none are better.
NAFSE plays a role in the active segment of the educational security needs – when it is necessary to move from alert to action. Like any serious security firm we begin with Condition Yellow – being on alert. And like many, we are proficient in Condition Orange – ready and prepared to move. But unlike others we’re there in ConditionRed – when the situation moves from the possibility to event. When you need safety in the Red Zone, NAFSE is the resource you need.
Safety in the Red Zone
Through Strategic Planning, Consulting and Innovation NAFSE delivers a turnkey solution for one of the most feared threats to our education system. While no one can ensure complete safety from this threat, NAFSE promises we will be there with you in the Red Zone if it happens to you helping to reduce the number of casualties. One of the ways we accomplish this is through the development several proprietary items to help prepare your facility in order to reduce this number. One of these is items proprietary software called National Alliance for Safer Education’s Student and Staff Tracker (NAFSE SST) while designed to be simple for the end user it provides real time critical information to:
School Board:
  • 100% accountability for everyone on campus during the crisis, including all students, staff and visitors within five to ten minutes will be accurately provided to the school board members.
  • The software is also used to reunite students with parents/guardians ensuring accountability form the start of the crisis to the reunion of every student with their parent/guardians.
Responding Police Officers:
  • Direct communications from the teachers to the police identifying the location of the threat will be provide by the NAFSE SST directly on their Mobile Data Terminal (MDT).
Fire Rescue and Ambulance:
  • Direct communications from the teachers to fire rescue identifying where any injured students are located.
